Ideation. Experimentation. Implementation.

ATA Labs is dedicated to experimenting with today’s leading technologies and studying emerging needs. This approach has led to the successful development of ATA’s solutions and products and successful participation in the SBIR program.

About ATA Labs

ATA is a “mission-driven, evolutionary organization” which means we listen to, study and evaluate the market to identify emerging trends, unfulfilled needs or technology gaps and then give ourselves the organizational freedom to change in any way needed.

Central to our ability to do this is living our culture and the willingness to invest in new opportunities.

ATA Labs is ATA’s innovation initiative. Guided by our continuous innovation process, ATA “intrapreneurs” develop, test, iterate, and launch innovative technologies to shape the technology landscape and meet or drive customer demand.

Through this initiative, ATA develops both sustaining and disruptive innovations – that is, innovations that improve our existing product lines to the benefit of current customers or partners, along with innovations that challenge existing solutions or enter new, developing spaces in the market.

Design Principles

  • Focus on User Need
  • Modular, Open Architecture
  • Security First
  • Scalability
  • Simplicity

Why this Matters?

ATA Labs stimulates company growth by bringing new products and services to bear and differentiating ATA from our competitors, while also fostering the healthy levels of agility and adaptability within the company needed for long-term sustainability. Successful innovation requires foresight into where our customers are moving so that we are prepared to meet their needs and have the skills and infrastructure needed to support them.

The iterative nature of the continuous innovation process means we are constantly updating our technology roadmaps based on the learning gained through ideation, experimentation and implementation.

Ideation with intent is key. There are three dimensions:

  1. Customer Demand
  2. Technical Feasibility/Fit, and
  3. Continued Relevancy (given the increasing pace of technological change).
